13. Teaching Title and
Responsibilities:
Teaching In
Science
During the last twenty two years, I have taught and tutored over ten courses in
physics, mathematics and statistics. These courses ranged in level from
freshman to
senior as well as several graduate level courses and include:
relativistic quantum mechanics,
thermodynamics optics,
statistical physics statistics, calculus general physics, and imaging
physics.
In 1984, I introduced a new course at Case on the Physics of Imaging: Applications
in Industry
and Medicine. In 1988, this
course was supplemented by a second NMR course CHM 460. In
1990/1991, this course was
extended to a second semester as CHM 460.
An off shoot of this course
on the Mathematics of
Imaging is currently being offered in the Dept. of Mathematics as MAT 457.
Recent courses given at Case include (PHY 431) and optics (PHY 425). Guest lectures have been
given for the last several
years for two EBME undergraduate courses including EBME
105.
This MRI course has been offered at Washington University through the Electrical
Engineering Department from 1993 to 1999.
Medical School and
Radiology-Related Teaching
Coordinator, MR Physics Conferences, Dept. of Radiology
1986-1993.
Radiology MR research conference: Weekly seminars on MR imaging methods
and
annual MRI course each fall.
Numerous education lectures
to residents and faculty at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology from
1994-1999.
